If christians pick and choose what to believe in the bible, why don't they skip the part about homosexuality?
Post Body

Obviously all christians choose what to believe in the bible because most of it is utter bullshit. If they can choose not to believe in something, why can't they skip over the part where it says being gay is a sin? It is very well established at this point that being gay is not a choice and people can't choose their sexuality nor do anything about it. Why can't they ignore the stupid statement that the way someone was born is a sin? This is what makes me think that most christians are just using religion to hide their bigotry instead of being bigots because of religion.

Comments

Because they need to vilify a community for their righteousness sake. They need โ€˜us vs themโ€™ mentality in order to unite.
