Not really. It’s just more culturally ingrained in western society. What if you describe it like this?:
A god who sacrificed himself to himself to atone for the original sin of his creation disobeying him by gaining the knowledge of right and wrong before they even knew that disobeyance was wrong. . . And if you think the wrong thing, even though this God gave you the free will to think whatever you want, (with many thoughts being involuntary) various thought crimes will get you banished to an existence of torment (after you are dead.) But to avoid that, once a week you can eat a part of said god’s human body, and drink some of his blood.
