I am a rising third-year PhD student and I am considering a job in China after my PhD so can be closer to my partner (they live and work in Shanghai). What opportunities are there for astrophysics PhDs in China?
A more tangential question, but would it also be easier to obtain academic positions in China than in United States/Europe because there is less competition?
