I started exploring wide field astrophotography with my AltAz mount but I have some trouble with setting up the alignment mainly because I can't center it properly with the 14mm lens. I have a weird construction and can't change lens easily so that's not an option.

So I was wondering if there are any finder scopes that mount on the DSLR, specially my Canon EOS 1000D has a hot shoe that is used for external flashes and looks ideal, although my google skills didn't find anything.

P.S: I know AltAz isn't good for long exposures etc, but I'm doing some tests to learn and other more weird stuff that hopefully will make a post of their own when I have made progress.
