I just left the Optometrists office and after having tested my eyes with the Keratometer he said I had 6 diopters of astigmatism, and that it was "top 10 he's seen in his office"

however when we began testing my eyes against the Snellen chart my prescription came out to only -2.00.

With that said, it was impossible to eliminate all the ghosting during our time with the chart; although he could adjust the lenses and produce a progressively better image, there was no way to eliminate a light ghost image just above it. So, for those of you who have terrible astigmatism, what the fuck is going on and is there any way to achieve clearer ghost free vision? I can only see perfectly in the day time it seems.
