Valhalla is so terribly bad

Post Body

So I just finished GoW ragnarok (great game, do recommend). Has me in the mood for more Norse world and I bought Dawn of Ragnarok on sale a while back and hadn’t played yet (finished main game in apron 2021). So I load it up.

Eivor/havi move SO. SLOWLY. The dwarves you’re supposed to “follow” won’t get to camp for 15 minutes so because they run SO. SLOWLY.

the stupid reindeer mount is unmountable and half the time I spend with my head up his ass or flank trying to find where the perfect button for mounting is.

Climbing is SO. TERRIBLE. it’s clunky, slow, you can’t drop off completely or back jump from anything unless camera is on perfect angle.

The combat is horrible. Basic three button system and dodge always sets off the time slow but parrying is next to impossible.

The dialogue is horribly written, the delivery is even worse.

The only redeeming factor so far for me in this dlc is the plot - havi trying to save Baldur and surtr attacking svartalfheim is a different approach; and the huge-rip - different powers are cool and turning into white raven is cool.

I seriously don’t know how I made it through the main game a year and a half ago.

Tl;dr: Valhalla is a really shitty gameplay-production and I can’t believe I ever finished it.
