Bringing back the assassins in Assassin's Creed

Post Body

As we all know, Assassin's Creed had to change the formula in order to stay relevant, whether we agree with it or not. However, I play Assassin's Creed for Assassin's Creed, not because I want to play a generic RPG. So how could things have change and still be Assassin's Creed?

  1. Fishing for Information - In the first game, you used towers to find activities such as pick-pocketing, eavesdropping, doing tasks for assassin's for information, etc. I think that this idea is great but it really didn't do much in terms of outcome. Keep this idea, search for more information that has an effect on the game. This is a way how it can be done.
  2. Multiple Ways to Assassinate - You get to methodically plan out your assassinations. Depending on how much information you gain about a target, will effect how you plan. The less info you find out, the less options you have. The more info you have, the more the options. Similar to the heist choices in GTA 5, but much more variety and will have an effect on the game.
  3. Choices Matter - Depending on how you play the game, your choices effect the game, in a way that matters. If you are stealthy, NPCs wont give much thought. If you are one to draw attention to yourself, NPCs will know of you and recognize you and fear you, even if you're incognito. This effect could change by changing outfits, which you would have to buy in the market again. Should you gain to much negative attention, markets would not sell to you, and you would have to find black market dealers, that charge at a higher rate. (Harder difficulty guards will spot you as well.) The more assassinations you complete, the cities would place more guards, and they would be equipped with heavier armor.

I think there are ways that Assassin's Creed could evolve and be fresh, without having to sacrifice what made it Assassin's Creed in the first place. I don't mind the Origins and Odyssey, but it is not an Assassin's Creed game. Please give thoughts on what you would do.
