Most populated platform and game for multiplayer?

Hi all, although I know it's not that popular I played all the assassins creed multiplayers when they came out and really enjoyed them. There doesn't seem to any multiplayer games quite like it.
So I have a PS4 and PC. I guess black flag would be the most populated. If not, which is? How easy is it to find games? And is my best bet PC or PS4?
