Anyone else not finding AC3 as enjoyable as the past AC's?
Post Body

Last night I just got to New York but after that first mission there, during the jail scene, I realized that, frankly, I was not as engaged into the story nearly as much as I was for any of the past games (perhaps the exception was AC:Brotherhood (that was Rome, right?). During the main quests, I find Connor very engaging and I love his attitude - he's not laid back, cautious. He has a goal and he's going for it, so get the hell out of his way.

But oh dear Lord, in the side quests, its like the voice actor had no interest at all. I'm pretty good with suspension of disbelief, but some of the Homestead Missions just seem... well, lets just call it "Gamemaster Fiat". I need (insert profession here) in my Homestead, so after beating up a single guy harassing the tailor, she agrees to move to an entirely new place she's never been with a guy who just mopped the floor with the man without any reason to get involved.

I don't know what it is... but something is off. Too bad that the naval aspect isn't bigger... I'm loving that. Anyway, my 2c. I can't be the only person, right?
