Hey. 21M here. This is not an r4r thread, so obviously it's not what I'm here for. But man, it is difficult to find people as an Aspie. (I dont know what its official term is these days but that's what I'm calling it out of tradition.) On one hand, you have normal folk who will never truly understand the brain we all operate on. Then on the other hand, by the sheer chance you do meet someone on the spectrum of the opposing gender, Autism itself is so diverse it's almost a completely different disorder in men vs women. Couple that will the overwhelming prescensw of social media (at least for me), and it kinda feels like were sitting ducks on all fronts. I dont know if there's decent dating apps tailored to us, or communities specifically for this kind of thing. But even if there is, sometimes the odds feel stacked against me, ya know?
There's really no goal to this post, other than at the very least not feeling alone in the struggle.
The more observant of you may have seen a post awhile back I had up here, as a more "cry for help". While that still stands true the tone of this post is more so a casual "Why are we here" versus feeling like life's over.
