While I only have a mild case of PDD NOS, I still feel a bit out of place as neuro atypical and neurotypial circles. I go on Wrongplanet and often times I try to post serious stuff and seems like I might as well talk to someone who is neurotypical. I am not trying to say they are bad people, but it makes it hard to call it a refuge for myself. I then go on here (Reddit) and get called egocentric because I don't follow the party line on politics. I go on Facebook and get kicked off two pages for being progressive in one instance (pro sex work on a pro marijuana page) and then wondering out loud about decentralization on a conservative page (ironic). I thought the web was supposed to be a place where eccentric people could be themselves and not have to worry about the outside world leaking in. At this point the only place where I feel at home is outside my home country and is the only thing that makes me motivated as there are certain places I love (despite not being a native to there) and would defend before I would defend anything in my home country. Does anyone have a similar feeling to this?
