For example, I will use Pirates of the Caribbean 3, which I’ve seen upwards of 40 times (probably more). I did not understand why Elizabeth traded Jack for Will, until the most recent time I saw it, when I realized by a facial expression from Elizabeth which I had previously misinterpreted, that she wasn’t doing it to spite Jack. In reality, she had done it to help Jack.
Another instance, is why Jack threw Will overboard. I realized on my latter rewatches that this was a follow up on Jack’s deal with Becket. I really struggled to tie those two events together.
Still, I feel there are some actions which I yet don’t understand completely the motivation for, that future rewatches will illuminate.
Does this happen to anyone else?
Also, with most people I’ve talked with, I think I assign much more importance to the music than the average person, even though I don’t play instruments and such. Does anyone else does this?
