I recently got some tests done on me for qualifying for accommodations on AP exams and the PSAT. I've been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome for almost 8 years now. I got re-diagnosed while getting tested, and now I have "Autism Level 2" and ADHD inattentive type.
I looked it up, and apparently it means that I am "Requiring substantial support". I do not have "classic" Autism. I am high-functioning and have been all my life. I am in AP and Pre-IB classes, have good grades, am NOT in special ed, am on the robotics team at my school, and I am not mentally impaired in any way. I can do stuff by myself.
I guess I am misunderstanding this. Is this going to hurt my chances of getting into college? I guess that I feel kind of insulted in a way. Should I get a second opinion or something?
