Do you prefer to live in smaller communities or larger cities, or something in between? Maybe out in the country?
I was born and raised in a isolated town of 5000 people, but left home at 17 and mostly lived in cities ever since. Because cities have more jobs, and I'm kind of a job-hopper.
The perks of cities for me is that I'm more anonymous. I can be myself with all my quirks and weirdness, and there is always someone weirder than I am. I can access the things I get obsessed with easier in cities. Cultural events and all kinds of food from all over the world.
Towns are more comfortable, I had closer relationships with people when I was a teenager than I have in the past two decades. But when your aspie mask sheds and small town people aren't used to that kind of thing you get flack for being a weirdo and all that.
I'm interested to read other's experiences.
