I have had several instances where I am thinking about the weirdest shit and people want to talk to me (most the time it is a woman). Antrim Shale, Peyote in Costa Rica, the disaster I had in the restroom due to metformin (long story), the (hopeful) second interview for my career move, Bogota, some obscure political idea I had, Edward Luttwak's book Coup d etat, operations research, internet marketing, etc. . I could be in deep thought about that or numerous subinterests (not special per say, but are still cool), and some random person comes up to me and we get talking. I do the generic stuff (school, weather, etc), but I don't want to infodump either. How do you balance this? It seems harder with women as I am not going to bs on sports or stuff I can talk to guys about.
