I am kinda of rediscovering the positive thought movement after reading about the history of it and how it shaped the US. However it also got me thinking about a few things. One being self acceptance. I can't control my brain chemistry, I will fuck up, but that is ok as I did not decide to create this brain. Second, there are literal things (material world), but personal development, diamonds, and personal development were merely developments of the 20th century. I value logic and reason, but even within that, new things can be created from nothing. That is not to say they are beneficial. Further, if we take programming as an example, we are just abstracting things just like object oriented programming. Finally, certain mind states seem to bring better social outcomes. I have noticed this while taking certain substances and now I have realized it while just focused on creating my world and externalizing it.i am still trying to sort out the wheat from chaff, but I think I do need a better model so I don't become all subjective, but also don't be such a stick in the mud. I am still weighing stuff out. What say you?
