Has anyone else experienced this?
Post Body
So in my experience when people learn I have aspergers they get surprised because they assumed I was “normal” I’ve found that many people also don’t realise mental retardation and autism are different because I get treated like a child when they know I’m autistic. For reference I’m an adult (21 yo man) and my IQ Is 163 so definitey not retarded. This assumption is frustrating and the treatment as though I’m different is even more so. Anyone else or just me?
