I can't believe no one has mentioned this case on here or Wrong Planet. I was reading about this and apparently Counterman has autism and is challenging the Reasonable Person Test that has been used under Common Law for hundreds of years. To me this opens things on several fronts. First, how people who are neurodiverse people relate to the government. What truly is fairness under the law? If a law is so restrictive that it affects those who are neurodiverse especially, is that law just and can it truly be equal if it affects those with neurodiverse minds? To me, it seems like this could be the state of a new chapter of civil rights. Or maybe I am overthinking it.
