(Spoilers Extended) Narnia characters
Post Body
I just finished reading the Narnia series to my children and there are a few names that make it to ASOIAF. In The Horse and His Boy, there is Prince Corin Thunderfist which sound a lot like Qhorin and Tormund Thunderfist.
Also, in The Last Battle there is King Tirian which is way too much like Tyrion.
Does anyone know of this connection? Is gurm just paying homage? Most like it's a jape to incorporate characters from a children's novel into a not-for-children's novel.
