Repost cause I got my spoiler tag wrong in the last title
On my 3rd play through of the audiobooks, still, and I reached Dany II of ASoS. This chapter has me thinking of the 3 betrayals from a different angle. Help me out here.
Dany is told by the undying that she will know three treasons. We all assume that Daenarys will be betrayed because we see things only from her POV. She takes every slight as one of her betrayals and worries who is next. What if this is like GRRM telling us from so many characters that Jon is Ned's son? GRRM likes to give us over abundance of misdirection and have the truth hidden in plain sight. So my backwards thought is "why can't it be Dany betraying others for blood, gold and love"?
Ironically, MMD still fits as the blood betrayal. The blood was needed to bring the dragons to life, yet she had promised to free MMD.
In Dany II, ASoS, she needs gold to buy all the unsullied but doesn't have enough. She promises a dragon in lue of gold, but then s'mores' Kraznys and the Good Masters.
I'm still working out love. I think it may be a forthcoming Ser Friendzone and Lord Pincushion moment.
