I'm just curious, why do most people think Victarion is doomed and only a means of passage for Dany to reach Westoros? He 1) seems like the type of guy Dany would like 2) has a red priest who has made his arm firey (might relate to the dragons/targs) and who seems to know how to harness the power of the horn 3) has a dragon horn that is said to be able to control the dragons 4) has the most well reknowned navy in the world with him

I know he is portrayed as somewhat dumb and people think Euron is manipulating him, but it seems to me like hes in a pretty good position right now if he can break the Mareen siege and possibly harness a dragon
