Data being stored in S Registers 4x larger than what I specify in ARMv8 - Any ideas?

I am writing a program for class, and am using Armv8 to program, and coding using Eclipse. When I specify a line like
FADD S2, S0, S1 it is using registers four times what I said. So S8 instead of S2, and S4 instead of S1. I am not certain how to fix this. Does anyone know what is going on here?
