I’m in college and we’ve got a foreign language credit we must complete: pick a language, take four classes over a two year period. I chose American Sign Language because I thought that this is how I can do my part to be more culturally aware plus ASL is so interesting.
Prior to Covid, I took one of my four classes. When everything shut down, I was forced to take my second class during the summer. I passed both classes with 95% and above. However, due to the fact that the course at my school filled up first semester and isn’t offered in the second. This fall, I’ll FINALLY get to start the third class and I’m excited but worried that because it’s been a year since I last used ASL, I won’t be able to pick it back up quickly. Does anyone have any tips as to how I might be able to get back up to the level of knowledge I was at before a global pandemic?
