I've started collecting Pokemon recently and am also interested in other TCGs. I've collected baseball cards in the past but sports card aren't really my focus. Has anyone been to this show in past years and can anyone speak to if it's a good time and/or if the quantity of vendors is any good for Pokemon?
I was thinking of browsing with my partner but I'm thinking $30 for tickets ($40 at the door) for 2 people would offset any good deals I would get on cards (I'm not a big spender anyhow).
Thanks in advance!
Technically, this show has never happened before. I know the organizer and he has run a different show in like 2021 I believe. I know a lot of the local vendors will be attending, and I've heard that there will be some other ones flying in for this event. I don't know if you've ever attended the monthly shows at Bonsor or the seasonal big shows at Langley, but it's intended to be a large one if not the largest one in this part of the world.
All that said, I would confidently expect lots of Pokemon vendors. I've noticed at the monthly shows more Pokemon vendors showing up, and at the summer show in Langley this past August the split of sports cards to Pokemon might have something like 60/40. If you've never been to a show, I do think it's worth going to a big one and seeing what it's like. You'll get the chance to see a lot of cards and wax product. $15 for a person is solid in my opinion.
