What do you think causes the difference between the onset in gay and straight trans people?
Post Body

So I've been doing a deep dive into transmedical research today and it seems that, even apart from Blanchard's typology (which I'm aware is problematic), it's been observed by trans researchers that gay trans men and lesbian trans women tend to arrive at the conclusion that they are trans rather later in life than their straight counterparts, whereas bisexuals can go either way (heh).

My question is, do you have any theories on why this is the case?
