I know recently they changed it so we can change our sex designation without surgery in the state of NC. I just need to provide my drivers license. But from what I gather, there is lingo in the world of birth certificates. "Corrected" "amended" and "Issuing a new certificate" are three of them that matter the most. I had a friend who told me some states when you apply and change it, they will add your new sex, but not remove the "connection" with your old one somehow, so even though it has the right sex, its still flagging you as trans? I don't know which it falls under. I'm paranoid and don't want that. I only want it if it would show me as a completely CIS person. Has anyone changed their birth certificate since the new laws in NC able to verify if it outs you even after updating your sex?
