I'm curious how people have paid for their transitions. I'm coming up on four years in and starting to feel really stuck and it's getting to me. I came out before I probably should have and was disowned during college and had to drop out. A lot has happened in the past few years and now I'm married and have a good support system, but I'm still struggling. I'm unemployed because of the pandemic and a move and I had to file a lawsuit to get my ID after I moved so now that's the only thing that will come up if a potential employer searches my name. I've been fortunate to have consistently had HRT access, but that's all I've had. I don't know how I could afford electrolysis, FFS, or bottom surgery and the dysphoria is really getting to me. I've considered starting a GoFundMe, but I'm not sure how to word it well, I had to make one to cover my living expenses right after coming out so I feel bad for asking for help with this, but I may have to. The surgeons I'm looking at are Dr. McGinn for bottom, and the Crane Center for FFS if anyone has experience with the costs for those?
