A strange experience from my childhood

From the ages of roughly 8-12 (I’m 25 now so not the best memory on specifics), there were about a dozen times where I would stare in the mirror and feel completely disconnected from my body. It was incredibly bizarre and I really had no explanation for it before I cracked. I remember it almost like floating outside my body..

Basically I would like to know what this kind of experience is called? It hasn’t happened to me in at least ten years so, I’m not even sure if I remember it correctly so any info would help.
