I know everyone LOVES this subreddit and I do too, I spend way too much time on here myself but let me quickly shout out to all the local trans support and recommend that Newbies and vets alike seek it out.
When I was questioning and unsure of myself I spent a lot of time reading other peoples histories here on r/asktg but the computer can only communicate so much it wasn't till I went looking for other trans people in person that it really solidified who i really was.
Being able to see face to face that other trans people were normal everyday people and I wasn't just 'insane' helped so much and further more when I told them I was female, they said "oh cool" and immediately and without fail used the right name and pronouns.
That alone was worth its weight in gold.
So let me again encourage everyone to seek out local trans people either through your university for those in college(Look for LGBT clubs, or GSA(Gay-Straight Alliance, while not specifically trans will attract the same people) and for those not in college either through the web or though the local LGBT scene, in my experience they always exist, no matter how hard they may be to find.
Also if you guys would like to put your general location below maybe we can make some connections? I'm in boston myself :)
Thanks
