This is a little specific but I’m a relatively passable trans women. I’m passable enough that I don’t really get called sir or he/him most of the time but after a small interaction with me some people pick up on me being trans and then if they were calling me the correct pronouns s moment ago everything suddenly becomes “okay buddy” “yea bud.” Usually by men and almost always with a negative connotation. My rationalization of this is they start off checking me out but then realize I’m trans then get hostile because they’re upset they checked me out. I’m just wondering if you all relate to this. It’s always random where somebody Is being super polite to me then something changes and it’s all yea bud whatever buddy. As a guy I didn’t take buddy as negative as i do these days so it’s just odd to me.
