After watching this pair of debates Iâm frustrated that we havenât been mentioned once. I know that âde factoâ the Democratic Party is supportive of us but they say that and have said that for a while but name changes arenât getting easier, health coverage for GRS isnât being talked about, gender markers are still difficult to change, people can still be fired solely for being transgender, transgender PoC murder rates are still unacceptably high, etc.
They can talk about blacks and illegal immigrants and rural farmers and auto workers and women and the issues that they face but the entire LGBTQ alliance has been absent from any conversation.
I know that our issues donât âpoll well,â but I donât want to be left as some âextra considerationâ that is only talked about later on in the general election in order to persuade our community to vote for them.
TL;DR: Democrats, gimme LGBTQ policy proposals dammit.
