Using calorie calculators, is it best to input birth sex or the sex you are transitioning to? (On hrt)
Post Body

I've been struggling with weight for a long while and am getting back on the wagon after a long time off. I am almost 8 months hrt (mtf) and I'm trying to figure out a daily calorie amount but almost every calculator i can find makes a sizeable distinction in calories between male and female. I was thinking about just inputting everything for both sides and averaging the totals but if one way or another would be better I'd like to stick with the plan that will provide better results.

From experience I know that no matter what kind of diet you start pounds will shed quickly in the beginning (when you are a super plus sized individual anyway) but I want to know if there's a specific time/point to shift the way you diet/exercise during transition.
