So I once dated a guy with anatomy preferences. He dated people of a wide variety of gender identities and having started various levels of medical intervention (like HRT or top surgery), but not bottom surgery.
So my experience of him is that he’s not transphobic (I do understand that some people will view his preferences as transphobic, but I don’t). He always affirmed the gender of his partners and lovers, whatever that gender may be.
But what do you call that? Is there a word for this? I am non-binary trans-masculine and don’t know if my ex’s attraction has a label. I’ve tried a search online and was not successful.
I found gynesexual. Gynesexuality is a sexual orientation that describes someone who is attracted to femininity, regardless of their own gender. I also found androsexual. Androsexual is a term used to describe people who are attracted to masculinity, regardless of their gender or sexual orientation. The term comes from the Greek word andro, which means "male.”
But neither of those fit.
Is there a label for strictly vulvic anatomy attraction or strictly phallic anatomy attraction?
Or would my ex be best described as pansexual with some nuance?
