Hello! As like most people in this subreddit it’s an absolute shame that Trump won. I already considered moving out but this is probably the final push.

I’m a 19 mtf who lives in Maryland (in a majority red county) and I have 5,000 in my savings. I wish I didn’t have to but I think moving out is my best bet for my own safety (mentally and socially), I don’t feel comfortable where I live, my family are mixed, they are aware and failed to support me regarding being trans.

I don’t have a car and I’m familiar with DC, I’ve been to NYC a lot but man NYC is becoming more unattractive to me as time goes on and I have a feeling DC may not be safe with Trump back. I’ve thought about places like Chicago Boston and San Francisco (reasons like being liberal and public transportation) but I’ve never been there I don’t have any connections/friends.

I have dual citizenship in Mexico but god I do not want to get to the point of leaving this country for another like Mexico or some place in the EU. I have friends in the EU who’ve told me it might be my best bet to get some kind of long term visa in the EU but I’ve noticed that many places in the EU are heading similarly to the US.
