Sooo plugged in or not?

Hi umm kinda a weird question but just wanted to be safe from any electrical harm and stuff. Do y’all leave your magic wand plugged in at all times or do you need to leave it unplugged when not using it. I’ve read that it could be a hazard yet when I look at what my friend does I can’t help but be confused. As she leaves it plugged in and has left it plugged in for the past year now. Just wanna know what’s safe and all. It’s in a surge protector if that changes things.
