how/can you transition without going on hrt?

HI, i am a 20M and have been seriously considering transitioning to be a woman. i want to do hrt eventually, but certain things like the infertility have stopped me as i want to have biological children one day. how would transitioning work without hrt? also should note that im demi and not super worried about presenting in public as a woman
