Hello.
I thought I would post here because for some reason I just feel really...lost as to where to start with this particular topic.
So, I am afab, identify as gendervoid but did do ~5 years of HRT to present more masc. I have had top surgery already.
I have spent the last few years going back and forth about whether or not I wanted to pursue a metoidioplasty, and recently decided that I do. I am 38y.o. now, and the only things I have discovered so far is that my insurance does appear to cover it if it is deemed medically necessary (which per their definition of medically necessary, I do qualify) and that the 2 hospitals that perform the surgery in my state only do so on patients 18-35y.o.
So, I'm unsure where to go from here. Has anyone here pursued this procedure (anyone in Massachusetts would be particularly helpful)? If so, what steps did you take?
Thank you to anyone who has any advice. I'm just unsure what the correct order of operations is to figure this out.
