When I mention testing, a lot tests are done immediately before my daytime dose.
I started HRT October 2022, taking 2mg gel twice a day and 6.25mg of Cypro daily. My first bloods in May 2023 showed my T as 1.23/nmol & E at around 550pmol. My second test in October showed T as 0.55/nmol & E at around 450pmol.
In late December 2023, following Prolactin levels which where slowly rising and a fair bit above normal range (but safe) and the knowledge Cypro can cause harm even on low doses when you hit cumulative dosing if I think it was 6,000mg (a few years), and the effect it can have on mental health with B12 and stuff, I decided to try Monotherapy.
I changed my dosing to 2mg gel morning and 4mg gel at night, and retested at the end of January (3-4 weeks) - I was told this should give an indicative reading of wether things are changing or stable.
I moved to the NHS for this test, which I think is why the numbers are a tad higher, I am assuming the less than symbol means the test isn’t sensitive enough to accurately read any lower of a result.
My T reading was <1nmol and my E reading was 1,500/pmol I think this may be skewed due to my double dosing been the one at night and not during the day and I tested before my day time dose, but I don’t think that’s a worry, as even before the dose rise my E levels where within acceptable range and will be bigger now with an extra dose.
For all 3 tests my FSH & LH came back as undetectable (less than the machine could analyse ac). In all cases, private and public tests the numbers where below 1miu/L
For those curious, my Prolactin levels where 750 in October, and within a month of this regime change already dropped to 365, and are now within normal ranges.
So as the title says, should I be safe to just throw the Cypro in the bin now, or should I wait for my April test to decide?
