[tw: chance of pregnancy and periods mentioned] After being kind of an asshole about my genderqueer identity, my endocrinologist now doesn't want to give me hormones until I get an IUD or some other form of birth control. I guess "I don't currently have sex with penises that way" and "I'm super fucking dysphoric about pregnancy thanks" and "I use condoms always" aren't enough for him.
Has anyone else gotten this bullshit? What to do? I don't want to get an IUD before HRT because I don't think I could handle the heavier flow. Plus I don't want to deal with going to another space intended for 'women' (which is not what they mean!) without being on HRT because it makes me feel intensely invisible and dysphoric.
Thoughts?
