I’m (33cis M) divorcing my wife. Throughout my life I’ve always been curious about MTF trans people. Not only sexually, but emotionally as well. It must take an amazing amount of strength and courage to completely change who you are in the pursuit of happiness and self confidence.

Anyway I met someone on a dating app and we’ve been chatting. And I think things are going well. I want to take her out this weekend for drinks and see how things go.

Not only have I been out of the dating game for a decade, I’ve never had a trans friend let alone dated someone. So I’m a little lost for what to do.

Are there places we should avoid? Is taking her to a gay bar too on the nose?

What are some do’s and don’ts for a first date?
