Tired of waiting and looking to relocate to transition.
Post Body

Hello!

Apologies for the long-ish post but there's a few points of context that I need to mention.

I'm in my 30s, of (East) Indian origin living in the Middle East. I went through a somewhat common journey of being interested in feminine clothing to realising I'm trans, with all the usual denial and compensating by acting extra masculine. I came to terms with my gender identity a couple of years ago, but given the region where I live and work transitioning has never been an option.

I've been telling myself daily, that the time will come and eventually I'll be able to find a way, but in complete honesty I don't really see things changing unless I take steps to change them.

I work as a creative (rather not share too many details publicly) and I have a girl friend who knows about my "secret closet" as we call it. From what I understand she believes it to be just a crossdressing situation but we have discussed the whole topic of trans women in the past and she has stated that she is accepting. Obviously that's a relief given that we both come from conservative backgrounds, however she still views me as her boyfriend and is 100% sure that she is straight.

I will be having a series of conversations with her and will be coming out to her very soon. She's currently out of town for work, and this is an in person conversation for sure.

So now on to the actual question/discussion. I'm looking for countries to relocate to with the intent of living and working there, and transitioning socially and medically as well. If all goes well it would be with my partner but that depends on how things go over the next few weeks.

I have started saving money to relocate a few months ago but I've had some emergencies that have cut into my funds so I'm not in a position to get a temporary visa and just go look for work. So I am looking for any advice and recommendations of countries I should consider where I would be able to find work, socially and medically transition, and have the transition process majority covered by insurance.

Personally the United States is not an option for me as the political climate towards trans women seems very volatile. And I'd like to avoid Canada as I have a LOT of family there. Apart from that any recommendations you might have would be highly appreciated.

Once again apologies for the long post.

❤️
