is it possible to take patches & pills at the same time?

i’m currently on 3 milligrams/ day of twice weekly estrogen patches and would like to go up to 4 patches twice weekly & 2 mg daily oral estradiol. I feel like 6 mg/day would be necessary in order to get the feminizing effects I need, and the easiest route would be injections, but I hate needles and don’t have anyone to do them for me.

my doctor said it could get confusing to take two routes at once, but I think it would be fine. that said I do have a history of not taking my pills as often as I should. what do you think?
