Wearing a trans flag at pride as a genderqueer person?
Post Body

Happy pride month!! I know these kind of posts can be annoying, but I'd really like some perspective. I'm a genderqueer person, I thought I was ftm for a while and then identified as genderfluid for a short time, then genderqueer. I like that label because I feel like it succinctly explains what I feel like - not cis.

I basically feel like a woman most of the time and sometimes I feel like a man and get some dysphoria from people perceiving me as a woman. I use a masc nickname and get gender euphoria from both feeling like a man and a woman. I'm summing it all up here, but throughout my life it's been a meandering journey that's taken a while.

This year I got a trans flag by donating to a local trans advocacy group and i really wanted to wear it at pride. Would that be weird or objectionable, or is it alright because I'm not cis? I comfortably present as my agab often but I've known for the past 8 years that I'm not cis. Penny for your thoughts?
