People like iddubbz apologising for past behavior and the conversation surrounding that has kind of made me realise something.

If trans acceptance would increase rather than decrease in the comming years there would probably be quite a few people who will have mellowed out, changed or be in any way remorseful for their prior disgusting behavior. Stuff like that i have seen in isolation a few times in the past.

Now this kinda got me wondering and now im curious, how do some of you feel about if some of these people changed their mind? Could you forgive an ex terf? Even if they actively did stuff like misgender us in the past? Personally i dont really know if i could, i feel like anyone who has ever said something like "trans women are men" should live that down for at least some time. On the other hand would i feel like a hypocrite if i wouldnt because personally i used to be a truscum in my mid teens and even misgendered a nonbinairy person who was kind enough to forgive me when i saw them again a few years later.

I'd like some perspective on this, its not really an important conversation to have right now considering things are only getting worse right now and it's just kind of a thought experiment but if a day ever comes that that becomes an idea to entertain i would be very interested as to what people think.

I'm mostly talking small beans, individual people who don't have a big following. Im sure the anita bryants reborn will take their hatred to their graves, and if not there is at least provable damage and harm theyve done theyd have to unravel and undo.
