I [ftm, he/him] am getting ready to change my legal name, and with that, things like drivers license will follow shortly thereafter. However, I am pre-T. I am unlikely to go on T for a while. I have never passed in public, and likely will not for years.
I know that when I go to DMV, I can reselect my sex to male. I fully intend to do this. But will I encounter any issues with this? Say, if I get pulled over, or getting ID’d for an 18 concert? I am 18, and my ID will most certainly be real, but I can see how someone would think it’s a bad fake if my sex and my presentation don’t match.
Is this as big of an issue as I think it is, or am I more worried than I need to be?
