Why is the CFF/SBB easy ride so random?

I take the same journey each day ..
Yellow post bus > Train Nyon to Geneve) > Tram (2 stops)
And same route return ..
But the price calculation changes between 3 options .. As low as 18.60 for the day to as high as 22.40 for the day.. (I have a demi tariff9
What gives? Sure it's not a massive deal since I only commute a couple of days per week .. But do we just accept this? Do people complain? Are they all correct just different?
