Question for italians working in finance

Post Body

My boyfriend has been trying to get a job in finance for several months now. He studied statistics and finance. So far he has not received any job offers. My guess is that he's not fluent in french yet. Do you have any suggestions that I could give to him? Right now he's working in Milan, and has an amazing CV actually. Problem is the language (probably A2 in french) and the fact that for obvious reasons it makes more sense to hire a swiss over an immigrant.

If you managed to get a job in a bank or consulting company here, do you have any suggestions? What made you a top candidate when applying? Were you already fluent in the language of your canton?

Thanks a lot ❤️

Just for context I am PhD student here, and would like to make this long distance relationship short again.
