Struggling to find a job to join my partner. Any advice?

Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to find a job in Switzerland for the last few months and it’s proving to be extremely difficult. I don’t speak German, though I am a native French and English speaker, quasi native Spanish, conversational Arabic and Chinese as well. I am willing to learn German however.

My background has been in business development for tech startups, though the past year I have been focusing on launching my own video game with a team I built.

I am trying to relocate to Basel (or anywhere in Switzerland) to be closer to my partner and am willing to take any type of job to get in the country (service, tech, sales, construction etc) I am an EU citizen and yet I haven’t gotten any call backs.

Any advice on what I could be doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is working in tech in Basel impossible without German? Also are companies big sticklers for degrees in the appropriate field or are they more open like the US (non specialised jobs of course, like sales, marketing etc)

Thank you
