Are there any cafes in the medieval part of Gruyeres?

I'll be taking a half day trip from Vevey in June and wanted to get up to Gruyères early and have a coffee and pastry somewhere along the medieval city area in Gruyères. I was thinking sitting on a bench outside for a bit, have my coffee and then explore.
I tried searching to see if there any cafes in the area to do that but wasn't able to find anything besides restaurants. Are there not any cafes? Should I just go to a cafe in Vevey before heading up?
