So my wife does a little cleaning job for a few client, 5 or 6.. She created a company and registered it at the commune etc.. Got liability insurance, filled in a bunch of forms for AVS etc.
AVS sent back and forward a few extra questionnaires etc over the months and today have written to say that the independent status is being denied, she is a domestic employee instead.. Because ;
You haven't created a 'veritable enterprise'
You work regularly
You do the work personally
You haven't made investments in the company
Materials are provided by the clients
Does this seem correct? I thought this was the whole point of being independent? Is there any appeal here? What did she miss in the process? And what happens now? She was awaiting the letter and details from AVS to pay her LPP etc but now this.
